At the 2023 Danish Open Bellydance we offer an Intensive course during our festival weekend for the second time. Experience and enjoy festival with bazaars, competitions and shows and, at the same time, immerse yourself in the intimate atmosphere of an intensive course.
The Intensive is held Friday, Saturday & Sunday 10-12 November 2023 with the option of joining our meet-and-greet on Thursday 9 November.
Welcome to enjoy a full experience of preparing a dance show, from start to finish, in the guidance of Laura Zaray! In this intensive, you will not only learn and get ready to perform a choreography but in addition to that, you will get a thorough insight on the preparation of a show – from technical, mental and artistic point of view.
Before the in person training, you will receive little tasks (voluntary) to help you dive deeper into the project and it´s preparations. In these tasks we will focus on training methods that help you to prepare for any show, both physically and artistically.
During the festival rehearsal days, we will enjoy inspiring training together, working from the core of our bodies, improving our technique from head to toes and building up our performance skills both in-group and solo work.
The choreography has several parts, creating an enchanting fantasy style oriental performance focusing not only on group work but also on solo appearances inside the act.
The project fits for everyone from intermediate to advanced dancers and allows you to learn, get inspired and improve your dancing in many aspects. If you wish to hear more about it or have any further questions, feel free to contact the organizing team.

Normal price DKK 2,995 (€400)
The price includes all hours of teaching in the intensive course, entrance to the Taste of the Orient Show Sunday and photos and video from your performance at that show. The welcome dinner and other meals will be at participants’ own cost. All participants will be seated together at shows if they have signed up for the shows no later than 1 September.
Remember to book your tickets for the Friday Gala show and/or sign up for the competitions held Saturday and Sunday.
It is possible to stay at the dormatory including breakfast from Thursday to Sunday.
